Holly Hunt is Hot House’s female vocalist. Holly and her husband, Norm (Hot House’s drummer) formed the group in 2006 with longtime friend Jim Harney. She also coordinates the business and performance scheduling for Hot House.

Holly Studied Voice & Musical Theater at The Boston Conservatory of Music and though classically trained, she is equally talented in many styles of music. Locally she has performed for Busch Gardens, The Old Dominion Opry and The Music Theatre of Williamsburg. While living in Nashville TN, Holly performed, sang demo’s for publishing houses, songwriters & appeared on Country Music Television. Working with artists Reese Winan, Pat Flynn, Helen Cornelius and Tom Netherton highlight her resume.

In addition to singing with Hot House, Holly is a voice-over artist and can be heard on local TV and radio. Holly resides in Williamsburg with her husband Norm and their fuzzy baby “Ella”.

Jim Harney is Hot House's Bass Player as well as helping to run things behind the scenes. For those of you who have seen Limelight, you know that Jim is actually a saxophone player. Jim is a multi-instrumentalist playing woodwinds, bass, drums and even a little keyboards. Jim has been working as a freelance musician since he was in High School in Northern Virginia. Jim attended James Madison University where he earned his Bachelor of Music Degree in Saxophone Performance.

Some of Jim's musical experiences have included nearly 20 seasons at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, local and regional shows, national touring companies, cruise ships, house bands, and much other freelance work.

In addidion to playing bass and singing with Hot House, Jim is also active as an arranger, recording engineer, clinician, and teacher. Recently, after a decision to return to school for the computer field, Jim became a web developer.

Jim is proud to serve as Hot House's Music Director. In addition to working with the band members to constantly develop the repetiore, Jim arranges all of the music for the band.

Over the years, Jim has performed with numerous groups playing all styles of music. He continues to work as a freelance musician in the Tidewater area when he is not playing with Hot House.

Norm started playing professionally over 25 years ago when he joined his first working band at 13. Since then he has played in just about any kind of musical situation you can think of. His list of credits is long, owing his accomplishments to his diverse background, his education and study of varied styles of music.

A lifelong student of music, he was a member of school bands and orchestras receiving numerous awards while a member, and has taught locally at the Middle, High school and University levels. Norm attended James Madison University as a music major and cites John Gunnar Mossblad, Dr. George West and Robert Jospe as major influences. Norm and Holly have been married 12 years and have a 4 legged daughter, Ella Bella.

Randall Lawson is the keyboardist for Hot House. He is a recent graduate of Christopher Newport University and is a talented keyboardist and percussionist. Randall is currently the band director at Crittendon Middle School in Newport News.

Ted is a veteran of the Hampton Roads music scene. He has worked in solo and duo settings as well as playing in a variety of different bands. Ted attended Berklee College of Music and has been very active in the music scene in the area since the late 1970s.

Ted lives in Chesapeake with his family.

Chris Ward is Hot House's Trumpet Player. Chris is a recent graduate of Christopher Newport University and is currently the band director at Denbigh High School. Chris has a great deal of experience playing in the Hampton Roads area. In addition to having played for numerous season at Busch Gardens, Chris plays with the Williamsburg Classic Swing Orchestra and has played with the Ben Phelps Project as well as many other freelance groups.

Mike Bartusiak is Hot House's Tenor Saxophonist. Mike is a recent graduate of Christopher Newport University and is currently the band director at Hampton High School. Mike has played with many groups in the area including several seasons at Busch Gardens, the Williamsburg Classic Swing Orchestra, the Round Mignight Jazz Quartet and the Ben Phelps Project. Mike has settled in Williamsburg and is a newlywed!

Janet Harney is Hot House's Baritone Saxophonist. She is a graduate of James Madison University in Music Education. Janet has experience as both a professional vocalist and instrumentalist and has played and sang with many groups in her career. She has worked as a vocalist and instrumentalist for many seasons at Busch Gardens, plays regularly with the Williamsburg Classic Swing Orchestra and has done other freelance work around the Hampton Roads area. When Janet is not playing with Hot House, she teaches private lessons on clarinet and saxophone as well as running her own young children's music program, MusiQuest Jr.
